BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has shared the unexpected reason he rarely uses perfume — and it’s all because of a daily routine he’s kept for years.
On August 11, W Korea released a new video where V showed some of his favorite personal items and told the stories behind them.
First, he introduced a keyring attached to his luxury bag, saying, “I don’t usually put keyrings on my bag. I’ve put them on car keys before, but this one was so pretty that I just wanted to have it. I told the brand, ‘Please give me this,’ and I took it.”
He also pointed out a scarf tied to the bag, explaining, “On my first day in Paris, I was so excited that I started using this scarf from then on. I still use it now — sometimes on my bag, around my waist, around my neck, or even as a headscarf. There are a lot of ways to use it. I get ideas from watching other people.”
Among his must-have items was a headset, which he said he uses in many situations, “I use it when I work out or when I just want to listen to music. In the car, there’s a Bluetooth speaker, but you can’t use that on the street. I often wear the headset on planes or even when I’m sleeping.”
When he pulled out a bottle of perfume and a pair of sunglasses, V admitted, “Actually, I don’t really use perfume. I only brought this because we’re filming this video."
He added, "Since middle school, I’ve applied body lotion every single day without missing a day. When I wear perfume, it mixes with the scent of my body lotion, and I don’t like that. For scents, I prefer aroma fragrances.”
He also shared a small style change, adding,“I used to prefer round sunglasses, but lately I’ve been trying angular ones.”
Fans have been charmed by the glimpse into V’s personal tastes and long-time habits, with many saying his “no perfume” reason is uniquely him.
