Actress Seo In Ah shared a heartbreaking message after hearing the tragic news about actor Song Young Gyu’s passing.
On August 5, Seo In Ah took to her social media and poured out her sorrow. She wrote,
“Oppa, you were going through so much, right? I got the call this morning and couldn’t believe it. I cried so much.”
She recalled their last phone call, saying,
“Your voice didn’t sound good at all. I was so worried you might be having bad thoughts. That’s why we all cheered you on in our group chat with the others... but how long has it even been since then, and now this happened?”
The actress emotionally remembered him, saying,
“I can still hear you saying, ‘In A~’ in your cute voice and hugging me. I’ll never forget the happiness and laughter you gave me.”
She added one more heartbreaking line:
“Song Eon Jeung oppa… just like the nickname we gave you... please just say this is all a lie.”
Seo In Ah ended her message with sincere words,
“You were so kind and soft-hearted, Young Gyu oppa. I hope you’re free from stress now and doing everything you want over there. Rest in peace.”
Song Young Gyu was found dead inside a parked car in a townhouse area in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, around 8 a.m. on August 5. He was 55 years old.
It was reported that an acquaintance found him and contacted the police. The exact cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet, but authorities said there are no signs of foul play. The police are still investigating.
Back in June, Song Young Gyu was referred to the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office without detention for drunk driving. According to police, on July 19, he allegedly drove about 5 kilometers from Giheung District to Cheoin District in Yongin while heavily intoxicated.
His funeral will be held on August 6 at 7:30 a.m., and he will be laid to rest at Hambaeksan Memorial Park.
Fans and fellow stars are mourning his sudden death and remembering him for his warm heart and gentle smile.
