Actress Nam Bo Ra is shutting down divorce rumors just three months into her marriage.
On August 4, Nam Bo Ra posted a teaser for her new YouTube video, writing, “Married life ♡.” But what really caught fans' attention was what she said next: “There are divorce rumors about us,” followed by a clear and confident, “A rumor is just a rumor.”
The video showed Nam Bo Ra happily having dinner with her husband, enjoying a summer meal of cold soybean noodles (kongguksu), proving the couple is doing just fine.
Nam Bo Ra tied the knot in June with a non-celebrity man who is the same age as her. The two had been dating for about two years before deciding to marry. Before the wedding, she even appeared on YouTube channel Ji In's Ji In, where she talked sweetly about her then-fiancé, saying, “He looks like a beaver when he smiles, and a bit like Son Heung Min normally. He’s cute.”
After getting married, the couple traveled to Italy for their honeymoon. Nam Bo Ra shared beautiful photos from her trip, posing on charming streets, in front of famous spots, and at cozy hotels. She also said, “Italy is a gourmet country with lots to see and delicious food,” showing how much she enjoyed the experience.
Nam Bo Ra, who first gained attention back in 2005 through MBC’s Sunday Night – Choir of Angels alongside her 13 siblings, has built a solid acting career. She has appeared in many popular dramas like Moon Embracing the Sun, Glory Jane, It’s Beautiful Now, Hyo Shim’s Independent Life, and films like New Year Blues and Brilliant Revenge.
Recently, she also posted another YouTube video titled “Marriage Registration Complete – I’m Now a Nuclear Family!” where she showed the process of officially registering her marriage.
“My husband and I came to Yeongdeungpo District Office to register our marriage, one month after the wedding,” she said. “I was going to do it alone, but the paperwork doubled, so he had to come with me.”
While filling out the documents, she shared, “This is the most nerve-wracking form I’ve ever filled out.” But in the end, she smiled and said, “We became a family in just 10 minutes.”
Nam Bo Ra has now made it clear: she’s happy, married, and not letting baseless rumors ruin her joy.
