Singer and TV personality Lee Mi Joo has opened up about her breakup with soccer player Geun, confirming for the first time when the relationship ended.
In a recent video titled “What Happens When a 30-Year-Old Woman Checks Her Marriage Fortune (feat. Mi Joo)” on her YouTube channel ‘Just Lee Mi Joo’, the star visited a fortune-telling cafe to have her fortune (saju) read.
During the session, the fortune teller told her, “You have strong family values. Once you get married, you won’t get divorced. Your best match is someone who’s talkative and fun—maybe even a bit of a player.”
Mi Joo, visibly surprised, responded, “A player?”
The fortune teller continued, “You like fun people. But honestly, your luck with men hasn’t been the best so far.”
Mi Joo agreed and said, “That’s what everyone says.”
Then, the fortune teller asked, “Didn’t you date someone last year?”
Mi Joo replied honestly, “Yes, I did. But not anymore.”
The fortune teller then mentioned, “You always break up in the winter—around February or March. Be careful during that time.”
Mi Joo laughed and said, “When did I break up again? Please check the article,” referring to previous news reports.
For those who may have forgotten, Lee Mi Joo and Song Beom Geun confirmed their relationship in April 2023. However, the couple reportedly went their separate ways in January 2024, just nine months later.
At the time, Mi Joo’s agency chose not to comment in detail, simply stating that it was “the artist’s private life.”
Now, months later, Mi Joo has officially confirmed it herself: “We dated and broke up last year.”
