Lovelyz member Lee Mi Joo is getting real about love and heartbreak.
On the July 4 episode of KBS Joy’s 20th Century Hit Song, the star opened up about her past relationships and how they usually end—not the way she wants.
During the show, which featured hit songs with fun beats and unexpected lyrics, the hosts took a moment to talk about love.
When Lee Mi Joo was asked, “Have you ever gone through a breakup you didn’t want?” she didn’t hold back.
“So many times,” she replied honestly. “When I get dumped”.
Fellow host Kim Hee Chul was shocked and said, “You got dumped too?” Lee Mi Joo replied with a smile, “I usually get dumped. I don’t bring up the breakup first”.
Kim Hee Chul joked, “That’s a strategy—you don’t want to be the bad person,” but Mi Joo quickly shut that down.
“No, I really love them until the very end”, she said. “They just get tired of me”.
Her honesty left viewers touched and surprised, showing a different side of the cheerful idol.
Meanwhile, fans may remember that Lee Mi Joo confirmed her relationship with pro soccer player Song Beom Keun back in April last year.
He is three years younger than her. Sadly, the couple called it quits after 9 months of dating.
