Hyeri’s sweet moments with dancer Woo Tae have fans convinced they’re really dating

Hyeri is once again at the center of dating rumors, and this time, it’s with dancer Woo Tae — and fans are convinced it’s the real deal.

On July 1, Hyeri’s agency responded to reports saying she’s been dating Woo Tae for over a year, stating,

“We cannot confirm personal matters.”
Woo Tae’s side said the same. While neither side confirmed the relationship, fans believe their careful wording basically says it all.

So who is Woo Tae, the man rumored to be Hyeri’s new boyfriend?

Woo Tae gained attention through Mnet’s Street Man Fighter in 2022. He's known not only for his skills in choreography, breaking, hip-hop, and krump, but also for his respectful and professional personality — even earning the nickname “Oh Eun Young of dance” for how warmly he treats others.

He’s choreographed stages for top stars like BoA (Nega Dola), Lee Gi Kwang (D.C.Y.E), Baekhyun (Candy), and Highlight (Blowing). But it was while working on the movie Victory that his path crossed with Hyeri’s.

Hyeri played the lead cheerleader in Victory, and Woo Tae was brought on as her hip-hop dance coach. In her YouTube video uploaded 10 months ago, Hyeri mentioned him by name, saying,

“For hip-hop, it was teacher Woo Tae. He worked so hard,” and even wrote “I love you” in the video caption — a line fans now can’t stop talking about.

Woo Tae also shared love for the project online, posting rehearsal photos and praising Hyeri’s efforts, writing,

“Hyeri and Se Wan’s hard work really made this movie shine.”
He even shared how special it felt to choreograph for a film, especially one starring Hyeri.

The pair’s online exchanges also caught attention. In one post, Hyeri uploaded a photo taken by Woo Tae titled “Clumsy one’s revenge,” to which Woo Tae replied “Next week,” and Hyeri responded “Cool.” Fans now say the cute back-and-forth clearly showed their chemistry.

Reports say the two grew close during filming in Geoje, and continued seeing each other after returning to Seoul, eventually becoming a couple.

If true, this would be Hyeri’s third public relationship. She previously dated Tony An, despite their 16-year age gap, and later dated Ryu Jun Yeol for 8 years before their breakup in November 2023. When Ryu Jun Yeol confirmed he was dating Han So Hee, Hyeri’s now-famous “Interesting” post online sparked massive debate over the timeline of her new romance.

Meanwhile, Hyeri, who debuted with Girl’s Day in 2010, has been growing steadily as an actress. Her past dramas include Reply 1988, My Roommate is a Gumiho, and May I Help You. She most recently starred in Competition of Goodwill and is set to return with the movie Tropical Night later this year.
