Actress and singer Lee Hyeri is making headlines after rumors surfaced that she’s been dating dancer Woo Tae for over a year — but she’s not confirming anything.
On July 1, Hyeri’s agency Sublime responded to the reports, telling Newsen, “It’s hard to comment because it’s the actor’s private life.”
Earlier that day, MyDaily claimed that Hyeri and Woo Tae have been in a relationship since last year. The two reportedly got close while filming the movie Victory, where Hyeri played a cheerleader and Woo Tae worked as her dance coach. The film was released in 2023.
Woo Tae, born in 1991, is also known for competing in Mnet’s popular dance show Street Man Fighter back in 2022. He is three years older than Hyeri, who was born in 1994.
Hyeri, who most recently appeared in the U+tv drama Friendly Rivalry, has been gaining popularity in Chinese-speaking regions, earning her the nickname “Goddess of China.”
While Hyeri has had two public relationships in the past, it seems she’s choosing to keep things private this time around.
