Shoo, a former member of first-generation K-pop girl group S.E.S, was seen enjoying a peaceful food trip in Japan after turning her life around.

On June 17, Shoo updated fans by posting “JAPAN” along with new photos on social media. The pictures showed her dining at a restaurant in Japan, dressed casually with a hat and glasses to hide her face. She appeared makeup-free and relaxed, showing off her natural charm as she enjoyed her meal.

Shoo made headlines in the past for a serious controversy involving gambling. From August 2016 to May 2018, she was involved in habitual overseas gambling, losing around 700 million won (approximately $500,000 USD). In 2019, she received a 6-month prison sentence, suspended for 2 years.

Since then, Shoo stepped away from the spotlight and focused on recovering. She took part in anti-gambling campaigns and slowly rebuilt her image. Recently, she made a quiet but strong comeback by launching a health food business, drawing attention for her successful shift into entrepreneurship.

Shoo married former basketball player Im Hyo Sung in 2010, and they have three children—twin daughters and a son.

Fans are showing mixed reactions but many praised her for trying to start fresh and live a healthy, peaceful life.
