Fans are loving the unexpected couple moment between Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung—but it wasn’t all smooth sailing!
On June 17, actress Lee Min Jung uploaded a new video on her YouTube channel Lee Min Jung MJ titled, "Im Si Wan visits our house again. Didn't invite BH but he joined us anyway. Wishing big success for Squid Game 3."
The episode was themed around a whisky pairing session, with special guest Im Si Wan helping out. Lee Min Jung explained, “I know a lot about other drinks, but I’m clueless about whisky. So I called Im Si Wan, who knows more, to help.”
Im Si Wan jokingly said, “I just live nearby, so I walked over,” while Lee Min Jung teased a mystery guest sitting beside her off-camera, saying, “He knows whisky well. He won’t show his face, just his voice—since we haven’t hit 500,000 subscribers yet.”
Then came the surprise moment—Lee Byung Hun himself said, “Hello, I’m Lee Byung Hun,” officially appearing on his wife’s channel for the first time… with just his shoulder visible on screen!
When asked by his wife if he liked whisky, the top actor seemed unsure how to respond. He coughed and joked, “Should I use formal speech? This is really awkward,” making everyone laugh.
Lee Byung Hun then admitted, “I’m actually more of a wine person. But whisky gets you drunk faster, so it’s cost-efficient,” still avoiding showing his face—viewers only got to see a blurry mosaic of him, adding to the comedy.
When Im Si Wan humbly said he might not be an expert on whisky, Lee Byung Hun teased him, “Even though I love wine, I couldn’t explain it well either. So I don’t know if I can fully trust what you say,” keeping the fun mood going.
As Im Si Wan pulled out whiskies priced around 100,000 won (roughly $70), he warned, “These are just the basics. Don’t expect anything fancy, noona.”
Lee Min Jung laughed and said, “I don’t know anything about whisky, so I’ll probably just gasp no matter what I drink.”
Lee Byung Hun quickly chimed in, “She says she doesn’t know, but she drinks a lot. She’s probably tasted all of them already,” showing off their playful married-life chemistry and giving fans a good laugh.
Fans are now hoping this isn’t the last time they’ll see the couple together on camera—even if it’s just a shoulder cameo!
