Actress Joo Hyun Young was recently involved in a car accident, causing concern among fans and drama staff.
On June 4, Joo Hyun Young was on her way to a filming location in Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province when the accident happened on the highway. She was in a car driven by her manager at the time of the crash.
According to reports, she sustained injuries but thankfully, they were not serious. She received immediate medical attention and is currently resting.
Her agency AIMC spoke to SBS Entertainment News, saying, “It was a minor accident while she was heading to film. She’s getting rest and treatment, and we’re adjusting her schedule so she can recover well over the next few days.”
Because of the accident, the SBS Power FM radio show “At Noon, It’s Joo Hyun Young,” where she is the regular DJ, will feature special guest DJs for now.
Meanwhile, Joo Hyun Young is in the middle of filming for her new drama “Kind Woman Boo Semi”, where she plays the role of Baek Hye Ji. The drama is expected to air in the second half of 2025.
