BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has denied dating rumors with Twice’s Sana after sparking questions by tagging her on social media.
On June 2, G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation released an official statement to clear up the misunderstandings about the rumors.
The agency explained, “G-Dragon filmed the YouTube web show ‘Dex and Sana’s Cold Interview’ on April 14, right after the last broadcast of MBC’s ‘Good Day.’ On April 22, he went to watch the Coldplay concert in Goyang, where TWICE appeared as special guests.”
They continued, “When G-Dragon posted photos from the concert, he tagged only Sana’s personal SNS account as a friendly gesture since not much time had passed since the filming. The ‘Cold Interview’ appearance happened because of G-Dragon’s friendship with Dex, and Sana was scheduled to appear the day before filming.”
Galaxy Corporation also said they didn’t explain the rumors earlier because they didn’t want to spoil the show’s broadcast.
The rumors started after G-Dragon shared a photo from the concert that only tagged Sana, not TWICE’s official account. One photo even showed Sana’s reflection on a screen, with G-Dragon writing “Eh?” in Japanese, which caused more curiosity.
Though rumors grew, G-Dragon didn’t comment directly, which made fans speculate even more.
