Actor Byeon Woo Seok ran into another round of airport chaos as fans pushed past safety lines during his latest overseas departure.
On May 28, Byeon Woo Seok was seen at Gimpo International Airport, flying out to attend the upcoming ASEA 2025 awards ceremony, which will be held on May 29.
He will appear at the event as an award presenter, and many fans are especially excited about his reunion with actress Kim Hye Yoon, his co-star from Lovely Runner, who will be hosting the ceremony.
As expected, the airport was packed with fans and reporters waiting to see the rising star. But once again, things got out of control when some fans rushed forward, ignoring safety guidelines and breaking through guard lines. The situation quickly became chaotic, raising serious safety concerns.
Despite the disorder, Byeon Woo Seok stayed calm, waving and smiling at the press as he made his way through the crowd. Cameras were flashing non-stop as fans continued to push in closer to get photos and videos of the star.

This isn't the first time the actor has faced trouble at the airport. After his massive popularity boost from Lovely Runner, where he played Ryu Seon Jae, he’s been in the spotlight both in Korea and internationally. But that fame has come with challenges.
Last year, he was caught up in a controversy over excessive airport security. When he flew out of Incheon Airport for an overseas schedule, he was escorted by six security guards who blocked airport gates for 10 minutes.
They reportedly made loud announcements and even used flashes, which upset not only fans but regular travelers as well. The security company later apologized, saying they were trying to prevent accidents.
Since then, his team has reduced the number of security guards from six to three. But this time, even with fewer guards, the situation still spiraled out of control as excited fans swarmed the area.
As the actor continues to rise in popularity, many are asking if stronger — but more organized — safety measures are needed to protect both him and his fans.
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok is set to return to the small screen in the upcoming drama 21st Century Prince’s Wife, which is scheduled to air in 2026.
