Red Velvet’s Joy had a surprising heart-fluttering moment with Kian84 on the latest episode of Home Alone, and it didn’t go unnoticed by fans and her fellow cast members.
On the May 2 broadcast of MBC’s popular variety show Home Alone, Park Na Rae was seen visiting a hair loss clinic and later dropping by Kian84’s studio. When she arrived with her hands full of shopping bags, she explained, “I stopped by the bookstore since it was nearby,” to which Kian84 casually replied, “You went to the bookstore? It’s close.”
Joy, watching the interaction from the studio panel, couldn’t hide her reaction and said, “He was so sweet, I was surprised. My heart fluttered a little,” while blushing. SHINee’s Key, who is her SM labelmate, quickly warned her with a smile, “You better be careful with what you say here.” Jeon Hyun Moo jokingly added, “It’s because he’s sick. If he wasn’t, he’d say, ‘Why did you come!’” which made everyone laugh.
As it was Park Na Rae’s first visit to Kian84’s studio, he even started moving flower pots around for her comfort, despite not feeling well. Joy continued to be impressed, saying, “He’s so sweet. So cool.”
Later, Park Na Rae opened up about having skin tags removed and receiving a diagnosis related to hair loss, saying it was due to stress. Kian84 responded with sincerity, “I’m sorry. I feel like I haven’t been any help to you lately,” showing genuine concern.
Joy reacted again with admiration, saying, “Oh my gosh. He’s such a sweet guy. Even the pink shirt looks sweet,” clearly charmed. Jeon Hyun Moo then burst the bubble, adding, “He’s been wearing that for over ten years,” causing another round of laughter.
Meanwhile, Joy has been in a public relationship with singer Crush since September 2021, which led many viewers to playfully wonder about the sudden “love-line” energy she shared with Kian84.
It’s safe to say that this episode of Home Alone left fans both laughing and slightly curious.
