• Jung Woo Sung Steps Back from Public Life After Personal News Breaks

Actor Jung Woo Sung has been making headlines after confirming he is the biological father of model Moon Ga Bi's child.

On the 22nd, Moon Ga Bi shared the news of her childbirth on social media, saying, "The news came so suddenly, and I wasn’t prepared at all. Instead of fully enjoying the joy of pregnancy or receiving congratulations, I quietly spent most of the pregnancy period surrounded by my family’s blessings." She added, "I wanted to show my child the bright and beautiful world I saw in the past, and for that, I knew I had to find the courage."

Soon after, reports confirmed that Jung Woo Sung is the father of Moon Ga Bi’s child. Jung Woo Sung's agency, Artist Company, confirmed the news, stating, "The child Moon Ga Bi revealed on SNS is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological child," and added, "We are discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, he will do his best."

Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi reportedly became close in 2022, with Moon Ga Bi becoming pregnant in June of the following year, and giving birth in March. With the news of Jung Woo Sung’s out-of-wedlock child, some have speculated that he may have been preparing for the potential personal life risks that could arise from this revelation.

Jung Woo Sung gained massive success last year with his film Seoul’s Spring, which became the first film in his career to reach 10 million viewers. The film, depicting a tense period of history in 1979, reached a total of 13 million viewers and was a huge box office success. However, since then, Jung Woo Sung has not signed any advertising contracts. Industry insiders have shared that while many offers came his way, he has been cautious, possibly due to concerns about potential "personal life risks" that could affect his career and image.

Coincidentally, after the news of Moon Ga Bi’s pregnancy, Jung Woo Sung also stepped down from his position as a goodwill ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. He had held the position since May 2014, resigning after nine years of service.

These developments have led to speculation that the actor may be stepping back from public commitments to manage the situation. Recently, private photos of Jung Woo Sung with a non-celebrity woman were leaked, further fueling the ongoing controversy. His agency has commented on the matter, stating, "This is a private issue, and we cannot confirm anything," urging fans to avoid excessive speculation.

As Jung Woo Sung faces personal challenges, it seems that these events will likely impact the public image he has carefully built over the years.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
