• 13-Year Age Gap Sparks Dating Rumors Between Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Bin

Actors Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Bin have quickly shut down rumors claiming they are dating. What seemed like convincing evidence at first turned out to be a misunderstanding.

On November 9, a representative from Jung Woo Sung's agency, Artist Company, spoke to My Daily, saying, "The rumors are completely false," and clarified, "The so-called couple items are just speculation. The two worked together on a project, which might have led to this misunderstanding, but it is not true."

Shin Hyun Bin's agency, Ubon Company, also denied the rumors, saying, "It’s absolutely not true. We are aware of the rumors, but the hats they were seen wearing together were part of a team outfit from the project they worked on. Visiting a restaurant together is not a sign of dating—it's just a misunderstanding."

The rumors first spread across online communities, where netizens pointed out that the two were wearing matching items, including a green cap and a black puffer jacket. Some even speculated that the green caps they posted wearing on Instagram could be signs of a "Love Instagram" or "Lovelystagram."

Additionally, Shin Hyun Bin’s visit to Jung Woo Sung’s favorite wine bar was also linked to the rumors. The visit coincided with Shin Hyun Bin’s birthday, and a photo shared by her featured a bottle of wine that Jung Woo Sung is known to enjoy.

Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Bin had worked together as the lead couple in the 2023 Genie TV drama Tell Me You Love Me, which fueled further speculation. The drama is a romance about a painter (Jung Woo Sung) and an actress (Shin Hyun Bin), and fans wondered if their on-screen chemistry translated into real-life romance.

The dating rumors gained even more attention due to their 13-year age gap—Jung Woo Sung, born in 1973, and Shin Hyun Bin, born in 1986.

However, both agencies made it clear that their first meeting was not on Tell Me You Love Me but during the 2020 film Beasts Clinging to the Straw. The dating rumors, which had no solid basis, were quickly debunked as a simple misunderstanding.

Jung Woo Sung is currently filming Made in Korea, set to release on Disney+ next year, while Shin Hyun Bin is preparing for the release of director Yeon Sang Ho’s new film Face.
