• AOA's Kwon Mina Opens Up About Bullying and Abuse from Jimin: "I Suffered a Lot for 10 Years"

Kwon Mina, a singer and actress, has bravely shared her experiences of being bullied by former AOA member Jimin during their time in the group. On October 22, she posted a heartfelt message addressing several controversies surrounding her.

In response to claims that she stole her ex-boyfriend from another girlfriend, Kwon Mina explained, "I started dating him after he said he had broken up with his girlfriend. Later, I found out he had been secretly dating both of us. When rumors came out, I asked him to be honest, and he confirmed he had broken up."

She added, "I had no choice but to believe him at that time, and I recorded our conversation. I later apologized to the other woman and her family, as well as my ex-boyfriend's family, after learning the truth."

Kwon Mina also talked about a past incident involving a nurse. "The nurse spoke harshly to me over the phone, which upset me. We later met to discuss our feelings, and we resolved it well," she shared.

About an 'in-room smoking incident,' she said, "I truly apologize. I checked into a smoking room, but I didn’t know the hotel well and thought it was allowed. It was a huge mistake for me to post that photo. I paid 300,000 won and apologized for it."

More importantly, Kwon Mina revealed the bullying and abuse she faced from Jimin, saying, "I was cursed at and suffered a lot over the 10 years. I experienced physical abuse, and the emotional pain was overwhelming. I don’t know why it happened. After our contract ended, I felt I had reached my breaking point."

She reflected on her actions, admitting, "My reaction was too excessive. I can’t share everything I experienced here, but I thought I could handle it at the time. My thinking was short-sighted." Kwon Mina recognized that her actions, especially sharing photos, caused harm and tired her fans. She promised, "I will now focus on my own path without mentioning it anymore."

On the same day, she also shared a recent reunion with former AOA member ChoA, reminiscing about their time in the group.

Kwon Mina and ChoA debuted as members of AOA in 2012. ChoA left the group in 2017, followed by Kwon Mina's departure in 2019. Kwon Mina's revelation about being bullied by Jimin sparked significant controversy, leading to Jimin leaving the group and later returning as a solo artist.
