BTS's Jungkook continues to dominate the global stage, and his recent documentary Jungkook: I Am Still is no exception. The film, which premiered in Japan on October 4, debuted at No. 1 at the box office, grossing 105 million yen (about 952 million KRW) on its opening day. It also topped the weekend movie rankings at Narita Humax Cinemas, proving Jungkook's powerful influence.
Japanese media reported that despite being a documentary, Jungkook: I Am Still ranked 4th in nationwide audience rankings and 3rd in box office revenue for October 4-6, making an impact across the country.
Globally, the film has earned more than $11.65 million (around 15.3 billion KRW) within just 11 days. It has also performed well in countries like Brazil, Venezuela, and North America, securing top spots in box offices around the world.

Jungkook continues to break records, including in South Korea, where his documentary entered the daily box office at No. 5, setting a new record for the highest-grossing K-pop idol documentary on its opening day.
When asked about the film’s success, Jungkook humbly shared his thoughts. "I’m really thankful for the love and support the film has received. It’s still surreal to see these numbers, but more than anything, I hope people enjoyed watching it," he said. Jungkook expressed that the documentary was a personal project and hopes it resonated with fans on a deeper level. "For me, it’s not about the rankings or the records. It’s about sharing a part of my journey and connecting with fans."
Jungkook has consistently proven his popularity in Japan, being selected as one of the "Faces of 2023" and the most-searched male idol on YouTube Japan in 2024. His solo single Seven has also brought him multiple awards and certifications, further solidifying his global influence.
Despite the overwhelming achievements, Jungkook remains grounded, focusing on the meaning behind his work and the connection he has with his fans. "At the end of the day, what matters most to me is that my fans are happy. That’s all I could ever ask for," Jungkook shared.
