
In a survey conducted by Japanese Hallyu media outlet Danmee from September 11 to September 25, 2024, fans were asked, "Whose good deeds should be more recognized? Who do you think is the No. 1 K-pop idol for charity?" Out of 5,572 votes, Jimin received 3,220, securing the top spot.
Jimin has been known for his continuous charitable contributions since 2018. He first donated to his alma mater by providing school uniforms for younger students. In 2019, he donated 100 million KRW to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, followed by replacing 1,200 desks and chairs at Busan High School of Arts in 2020. Later that year, he also donated another 100 million KRW to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation as a scholarship fund.
In 2021, Jimin contributed 100 million KRW to Rotary International to support children affected by polio. For his birthday that same year, he donated over 100 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, joining their Green Noble Club.


His charitable efforts continued into 2022 when he gave 100 million KRW to the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education. In 2023, Jimin donated 100 million KRW to UNICEF Korea to aid children affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake. He also celebrated the release of his solo album with a 100 million KRW donation to the Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education.
Most recently, in August, Jimin donated 30 million KRW in scholarships to Busan High School of Arts, bringing his total contributions to his alma mater to 160 million KRW since 2019.
Even after enlisting in the military, Jimin hasn’t stopped his good deeds. In April, he donated a scholarship to Dong-eui Institute of Technology in Busan. In May, his father made a donation of 100 million KRW to the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education on Jimin's behalf, continuing his mission to help underprivileged children and improve educational environments.
Jimin's generous heart has truly made a lasting impact, and his fans continue to recognize and celebrate his efforts.
