BTS’s Jungkook is getting a huge birthday celebration from his fans. On August 31, Yankee Stadium in New York will light up with a special tribute for Jungkook, who turns a year older on September 1.
The fan group 'Jungkook Global Website' has arranged for a special birthday message to be shown at the stadium during the New York Yankees vs. St. Louis Cardinals game.
The message will appear on the scoreboard during the 5th inning break, reading: “Happy Birthday, Global Superstar Jungkook! Congratulations on making history with ‘GOLDEN’!”

The stadium announcer will also shout out, “Happy Birthday, Global Superstar Jungkook! Congratulations on making history with ‘GOLDEN’!” as the message plays across the screens.
All the proceeds from this event will go to the New York Yankees Foundation to support local charities, especially those focusing on education and social activities for underprivileged youth.
Last year, 'Jungkook Global Website' celebrated his birthday with ads running up to 520 times a day on billboards in cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. They also featured ads on the TSX Broadway billboard in Times Square and donated $3,267 (about 4.3 million KRW) to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Jungkook has had an impressive year. He topped Billboard's '2024 Billboard K-Pop Artist 100' list and became the first Asian artist to win 'Male Artist of the Year' at the 2024 People's Choice Awards. He also took home the 'K-Pop Artist of the Year' award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
In the 2024 SEC Awards from Brazilian site 'Seriesemcena,' Jungkook won 'International Male Artist of the Year' for the second year in a row.
Despite his military service, Jungkook is nominated for 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best K-Pop' at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards for his track "Seven," marking his third consecutive year as a nominee.
