BTS’s Jungkook continues to shine in Japan with his solo music.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) recently announced that Jungkook’s second solo single, "3D," which came out in September last year, has been certified 'Gold'.
As of June 2024, "3D" has surpassed 50 million streams, earning this prestigious certification.

This makes Jungkook’s fifth 'Gold' certification. He’s previously received 'Gold' for the 'Clean Version' and 'Explicit Version' of his solo single "Seven," the collaboration track "Left and Right," and his solo song "Euphoria" from BTS’s albums.
In addition to the 'Gold' certifications, Jungkook has also achieved 'Platinum' for "Seven" (Clean Version) and "Euphoria," both of which have surpassed 100 million streams.
His solo album GOLDEN has shipped over 250,000 copies as of November last year, earning it 'Platinum' certification from the RIAJ.

The RIAJ awards certifications monthly based on streaming numbers: 'Gold' for 50 million streams or more, 'Platinum' for 100 million streams or more, and 'Diamond' for 500 million streams or more.
"3D" quickly topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in Japan within just five hours of its release. It also reached the top of the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking' on Oricon on September 29, 2023, with 10,519 downloads, showcasing its ongoing success in Japan.
Jungkook holds the record for the most No. 1s by a K-pop solo artist on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking Chart with seven songs, including "3D," "Seven," "Standing Next to You" from GOLDEN, his self-composed "Never Let Go," the FIFA World Cup soundtrack "Dreamers," the webtoon OST "Stay Alive," and "Left and Right."
At the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards, Jungkook won 'Song of the Year by Download' in the Asia category for "Seven," marking his second consecutive win in this category.
Jungkook was also named 'Face of the Year 2023' by 300,000 Japanese voters, becoming the only K-pop solo artist to receive this title.
He was also the most-searched male idol on Japanese YouTube in 2024, highlighting his massive popularity.
