Incheon Airport Police will question a security company official involved in a recent incident with actor Byeon Woo Seok.
On July 24, police will summon Mr. A, who worked for a private security company. This company faced backlash for its intense protection of Byeon Woo Seok at Incheon Airport on July 12. Byeon Woo Seok was on his way to Hong Kong for an Asian fan meeting tour.
The security team was criticized for blocking gates and flashing lights at regular passengers. Now, the police are looking into three security personnel, including Mr. A, to see if any laws were broken, like assault or obstruction of business.
The head of the security company apologized, saying safety was their priority. He said the gate was blocked for 48 seconds, not 10 minutes, and denied checking passengers' tickets without reason. He also mentioned their actions were coordinated with Incheon Airport's security team.
