  • BABYMONSTER’s Rami pulls out of Asia tour for health reasons — group to perform as 6

Fans were surprised as YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER's Rami will be taking a break from group activities because of health issues — and she won’t be joining the group's upcoming Asia tour.

On May 9, YG released an official statement, saying, “Because of health reasons, Rami will not be able to join the Asia tour, which starts in Singapore on May 17 and runs until the end of June.”

They explained that Rami has been doing her best to stay active since debut, even while receiving medical treatment.

“She wanted to repay fans’ love, so she worked hard through it all,” YG said. “But her condition hasn’t improved much, and doctors recently advised her to completely rest and stop all activities.”

Because of this, Rami won’t take part in any of the remaining Asia tour dates.

Despite the unexpected news, the group will continue on as six members. YG shared, “BABYMONSTER is doing their first world tour just one year after debut. Even with this sudden change, the members are doing their best to complete the Asia tour and meet fans. They’ve reorganized the stage for six members and added new cover performances.”

YG ended their message by saying, “Please send lots of support to the six members who are practicing harder than ever to fill Rami’s spot.”

Fans are now wishing Rami a full recovery and cheering on the rest of BABYMONSTER as they prepare for their Asia tour.
