BTS member Jimin was visibly emotional after his fellow members and thousands of fans surprised him with a birthday celebration during the group's concert in Santiago, Chile.

On October 14 (local time), BTS performed at Estadio Nacional in Santiago as part of their Arirang world tour, marking their first concert in Chile in nine years.

According to Chilean media outlet BioBioChile, approximately 69,000 fans attended the show, making it a special night for both the group and their Chilean ARMY.

However, one of the most memorable moments came when the BTS members took time during the concert to celebrate Jimin's 31st birthday, which fell on October 13.

The members surprised Jimin by placing a birthday crown on his head, while the audience joined together to sing Happy Birthday.

Fans also raised heart-shaped banners with birthday messages, creating a special moment for the singer.

As thousands of fans chanted his name, Jimin appeared overwhelmed by the surprise and was seen wiping tears from his eyes.

Videos of the moment quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, where fans shared their reactions to the touching celebration.

One fan wrote, "When Jimin cries, I cry too."

Others expressed appreciation for the BTS members, concert staff, and Chilean ARMY for making Jimin's birthday memorable.

Chilean newspaper La Tercera also highlighted the celebration, reporting that the members placed a crown on Jimin while fans held up yellow hearts to wish him a happy birthday.

The surprises reportedly began even before the concert.

According to ADN Radio, Jimin received flowers, balloons, and a birthday cake from the production team after completing rehearsals.

Fellow member J-Hope also shared a photo of Jimin holding a bouquet on his Instagram Story. The flowers reportedly came from Jimin's father, along with a heartfelt card that began with the words, "To my beloved son."

Beyond the birthday celebration, the concert was especially meaningful because BTS had not performed in Chile since 2017.

During the show, the members acknowledged the long wait, telling fans, "It took us nine years to come back, so this will be an amazing concert."

The group also performed songs including Save ME and RUN, bringing back familiar choreography and memorable moments for longtime fans.

Following the performance, Chilean fans reportedly chanted "Sí se pudo, sí se pudo," meaning "We did it, we did it," celebrating the successful return of BTS to the country.

For Jimin, the concert became more than another stop on the group's world tour.

Surrounded by his fellow BTS members and thousands of fans singing for him, the singer celebrated his birthday with an emotional moment that quickly captured attention online.

BTS continued their Arirang world tour performances in Santiago on October 16 and 17.
