IVE has surprised fans with an early preview of the choreography and catchy hook for their upcoming title track Looks Can Kill.
On October 12, IVE released a short audio preview and challenge video through TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and the group’s other official social media accounts. The song is scheduled for pre-release on October 19, ahead of the group’s full comeback.
The challenge marks the first time fans have heard part of the song while also seeing its key choreography.
Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, and Jang Wonyoung appear in the video inside IVE’s previously introduced “Hero Academy” setting. The members perform a playful gun-shaped hand movement before extending their arms in a more powerful section of the choreography.
The preview also introduces the track’s repeated hook, including the line *“Looks can kill, we’re so lethal,”* giving fans an early taste of the confident concept behind the comeback.
Looks Can Kill begins with strong synth rhythms before adding heavy bass, drums, and electronic sounds. Seo Ji Eum, Lil Cherry, and IVE member Rei participated in writing the lyrics.
The challenge continues the superhero-inspired concept IVE has been building through its recent *HERO TRAINING CENTER : HERO COMICS* video and concept photos.
IVE will officially pre-release Looks Can Kill on October 19. The group will then release its mini album of the same name, Looks Can Kill, on October 26 and begin full comeback promotions.
