Lee Joon Gi’s return to television after three years has started with a difficult ratings result.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of Channel A’s new Tuesday drama "Kidnap Game", which aired on October 6, recorded a nationwide rating of 0.3%.

The figure puts the highly anticipated project in the 0% range for its premiere despite attention surrounding Lee Joon Gi’s long-awaited drama comeback.

*Kidnap Game* marks Lee Joon Gi’s first television series since tvN’s *Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun* ended in 2023. It also brings him together with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi for the first time.

The international thriller follows kidnapping cases that unfold across seven Asian cities, including Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, and Naha. The project is a joint production involving Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong.

Despite its large-scale production and high-profile cast, the drama’s 0.3% premiere shows that it has yet to translate that attention into domestic television ratings.

However, with the series only one episode into its run, attention is now on whether *Kidnap Game* can build an audience and improve its ratings in the coming weeks.
