Lee Jae Wook showed his support for Netflix’s upcoming series Dead-End Job by using military leave to attend its event at the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
The actor, who enlisted for active-duty military service in May, appeared as an audience member at the Dead-End Job open talk held at the Busan Cinema Center on October 8.
Despite currently serving in the military, Lee Jae Wook reportedly traveled to Busan during his leave to support the project, in which he plays the lead role.
Dead-End Job, scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 30, was officially invited to BIFF’s On Screen section, which highlights anticipated new drama series.
However, co-star Go Min Si did not appear at the festival event.
The actress is preparing to return with Dead-End Job after stepping away from activities following school violence allegations that surfaced last year.
Go Min Si previously denied the allegations in a statement posted on social media. She acknowledged having an immature school period but maintained, *“I can say with certainty that there was no school violence.”*
She also said, *“There is absolutely no fact that I committed school violence,”* and argued that the claims were based on anonymous online posts rather than confirmed evidence.
With Dead-End Job marking her upcoming return to acting, attention is expected to remain on the series ahead of its October 30 release. Meanwhile, Lee Jae Wook’s decision to use his military leave to attend the BIFF event drew attention as a show of support for the project.
