SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Joshua are showing a different musical side with their upcoming unit debut, moving into band-driven sounds and a mix of rock, funk, and alternative pop.

On October 9, the duo released a track sampler for their debut unit album *DREAMSCAPE*, which is scheduled to arrive on October 19 at 6 PM KST.

The title track *12 o’clock* stands out with a dance-rock sound inspired by 1970s and 1980s disco funk. The song combines a lively bass line with rhythmic guitar, giving Jeonghan and Joshua a brighter but more band-focused style than fans may expect.

Longtime SEVENTEEN producer BUMZU participated in writing and composing *12 o’clock*. Having worked closely with the group for years, his involvement is raising expectations for how the track will highlight Jeonghan and Joshua’s individual strengths as a duo.

The album continues that musical direction through several other tracks.

*No Looking Back* uses raw electric guitar and bass to create a less polished, more energetic band atmosphere, while Joshua’s solo track *Not Personal* combines the rough texture of rock, funk grooves, and alternative pop.

Other songs explore different styles. *Like You* builds on a house foundation with layered synthesizers, while *Outside* features a more relaxed electronic piano sound.

*One Plus One* adds polished arpeggiated guitar, while Jeonghan’s solo track *Coloring* contrasts a dreamy opening with an addictive synthesizer-driven sound.

With *DREAMSCAPE*, Jeonghan and Joshua appear set to move beyond one fixed genre and introduce a broader musical identity for their new SEVENTEEN unit, with band sounds playing a major role in their debut.
