Jo In Sung’s surprisingly worn-out phone case became the center of a funny story shared by comedian Kim Won Hyo.
On the October 7 episode of MBC’s *Radio Star*, Kim Won Hyo talked about his unexpected friendship with Jo In Sung and revealed how his wife, comedian Shim Jin Hwa, once replaced the actor’s old phone case with her own luxury one.
Kim Won Hyo explained that he first met Jo In Sung during a meal and later discovered that they were the same age.
He recalled, *“I told him, ‘Let’s become friends,’ and I thought it might be awkward. I also said, ‘Come over to our house when you’re bored,’ and he actually came over and hung out with us.”*
During that visit, Kim Won Hyo noticed something unexpected about the actor.
*“He looks perfect, right? He’s handsome and tall. But his phone case looked like something out of Chuno. It was completely falling apart,”* he joked, referring to the historical drama *Chuno* to describe how old and worn the case looked.
Shim Jin Hwa, who had reportedly bought a new luxury phone case only a few days earlier, then decided to make an unusual exchange.
Kim Won Hyo recalled her saying, *“In Sung, can I have this?”* before removing Jo In Sung’s old case and giving him her newer luxury case instead.
When the hosts jokingly asked whether Jo In Sung simply accepted the expensive replacement, Kim Won Hyo clarified that his wife was the one who strongly pushed the exchange.
He said, *“My wife practically forced it. She has a strong grip. He said it was okay, but she almost took it by force.”*
The lighthearted story drew laughs as Kim Won Hyo revealed that behind Jo In Sung’s polished image was an unexpectedly old phone case that ended up being traded for a luxury one.
