Jackson Wang has spent nearly a decade building an identity beyond GOT7, growing from a former competitive fencer and K-pop idol into a solo artist, producer, entrepreneur, and international performer.

Born in Hong Kong, Jackson previously competed in fencing before choosing music and moving to South Korea. He debuted as a member of GOT7 under JYP Entertainment in 2014, but a major turning point in his solo career came in 2017 when he established his own label, TEAM WANG.

That same year, Jackson began releasing solo music, including *Generation 2* and *Papillon*. TEAM WANG later expanded into fashion through TEAM WANG design, giving Jackson a platform to develop projects across music, performance, and fashion while continuing his activities with GOT7.

His growing presence in Greater China was also strengthened through entertainment programs. Jackson appeared as a leader on Chinese dance programs including *Hot Blood Dance Crew* and later *Street Dance of China 3*, where his performances helped highlight his skills beyond his idol image.

His solo career eventually expanded further internationally.

Jackson's first full-length album, *Mirrors*, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 32 in 2019. His 2022 album *MAGIC MAN* later reached No. 15, while *MAGIC MAN 2* debuted at No. 13, marking another career high on the chart.

He has also become a familiar presence at Coachella. Jackson first performed at the festival through 88rising's stage in 2022 before returning with his own set and making additional appearances in later years.

His international touring has also grown in scale. The ongoing *MAGIC MAN 2* world tour has taken him across Asia, North America, Latin America, and other markets, with reported sold-out performances at major venues including the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and Barclays Center in New York.

Jackson is now preparing for another chapter of his solo career after announcing a global management partnership with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z.

Alongside the announcement, he released *Thank You*, a project in which he was directly involved as a songwriter, composer, and music video co-director.

Jackson has also said in a recent interview that he has completed recording two new albums, suggesting that more music is already being prepared.

From launching TEAM WANG in 2017 to reaching major international charts and festival stages, Jackson has spent the past nine years steadily building the name “Jackson Wang” into a global brand of its own while maintaining his connection to GOT7.
