SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Joshua have revealed that even their decade-long friendship did not prevent an unexpected misunderstanding while preparing to form their new unit.

The two appeared on the October 6 episode of the YouTube web show *Salon Drip*, where they opened up about how discussions for their unit activities initially became more complicated than expected.

According to Jeonghan and Joshua, neither of them clearly expressed how strongly they wanted to work together. As a result, both began wondering whether the other person was simply testing the situation before committing.

Jeonghan explained that he could not tell whether Joshua genuinely wanted to form the unit because Joshua did not clearly state his intentions. Joshua admitted that he had interpreted Jeonghan’s behavior in much the same way.

Despite having worked together for more than 10 years, both were waiting for the other person to make the first clear move.

The misunderstanding was eventually resolved after they had an honest conversation and discovered that they actually wanted the same thing.

Their story showed that even close friends can misread each other when neither side openly communicates what they want, especially when preparing for a new challenge.

Jeonghan and Joshua are now moving forward together as SEVENTEEN’s newest unit, opening a new chapter in their longtime partnership.
