Eunha, SinB, and Umji have officially signed with a new agency, but whether the trio will continue using the name VIVIZ has not yet been decided.
On October 5, ENCORE announced that it had signed exclusive contracts with all three members and plans to support them as they continue promoting together as a team.
The agency stated, “We have signed exclusive contracts with Eunha, SinB, and Umji. The three members have built strong teamwork over many years, and we will fully support them so they can continue actively promoting together.”
However, ENCORE also confirmed that discussions over the rights to the VIVIZ name are still ongoing with the members’ former agency.
According to the company, “We have been in discussions with the former agency regarding the use of the existing team name, but due to differences over the proposed conditions, a final agreement has not yet been reached.”
Because of the unresolved issue, ENCORE said it is also considering having Eunha, SinB, and Umji promote under a new group name so they can resume activities without further delay.
The agency added that the final team name and specific future plans will be announced later.
Eunha, SinB, and Umji originally debuted as members of GFRIEND in 2015 before re-debuting as the trio VIVIZ in 2022. The group later released songs including BOP BOP! and MANIAC.
For now, the biggest change is that all three members will remain together under ENCORE, while the future of the VIVIZ name still depends on the outcome of negotiations with their former agency.
