BTS’s V drew attention in Colombia after directly speaking to local fans in Spanish during the group’s recent concerts in Bogotá.
BTS performed at Estadio El Campín on October 2 and 3 as part of the South American leg of their ARIRANG world tour. During the concert, V addressed the audience in Spanish, creating one of the most talked-about moments of the shows.
Several Colombian media outlets highlighted his interaction with fans. Revista Semana described V’s Spanish greeting as one of the moments that attracted the most attention during the Bogotá concert.
Local broadcaster Citytv also reported that the atmosphere inside El Campín became especially energetic when V began speaking Spanish.

Language-learning platform Duolingo joined the reactions online, playfully referring to V as “one of my best students.”
According to reports citing Google Trends data following the concert, interest in V also rose sharply as fans searched for the BTS member after his Bogotá appearance.
V’s effort to communicate directly with fans in their language became a memorable part of BTS’s first full-group concert activities in Colombia as the group continues its South American tour.
