BTS’s Jimin received an early birthday celebration from fans as the group officially began its South American tour activities in Bogotá, Colombia.

BTS opened the South American leg of ARIRANG on October 2 at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín, marking the group’s first concert of the tour in the region.

During the show, Jimin thanked Colombian ARMY for their loud singing and enthusiastic response.

He said, “This is our first time coming here, and honestly, I think your singing was louder than almost anywhere else. I was really moved, and I feel like this has been such a happy day.”

Jimin also made a playful connection between the name Bogotá and the Korean phrase “bogo sipda,” which means “I miss you.”

He told fans, “‘Bogotá’ sounds very similar to ‘bogo sipda’ in Korean. So I’m telling you that I missed you.”

The crowd later surprised Jimin by singing a birthday song ahead of his birthday. Jimin appeared touched by the gesture and responded, “Oh, were you wishing me a happy birthday? Thank you!”

Fans also repeatedly shouted “Papacito,” a Spanish term often used playfully to compliment an attractive man. Jimin reacted with amusement, saying, “I can’t believe I’m hearing something like this in my life. I love it.”

Colombian public broadcaster Canal Trece later highlighted the moment on social media, joking about how to explain the meaning of “Papacito” to Jimin.

Following the Bogotá concert, BTS will continue its South American tour with performances scheduled in Lima, Peru, on October 7, 9, and 10.
