Stray Kids’ Bang Chan marked his birthday with a 300 million won donation divided equally among three organizations supporting hearing care, children, and environmental protection.
On October 3, Bang Chan donated 100 million won each to Hearcycle, World Vision, and OSEAN, bringing his total donations this year to approximately 500 million won.
According to the organizations, the donation to Hearcycle will help provide medical support for young people with hearing loss and assist with their return to school, work, and daily life.
His donation to World Vision will support scholarships and customized development programs for children and teenagers from low-income and vulnerable households.
The remaining 100 million won will go to OSEAN for coastal cleanups, marine waste collection, and river cleanup projects.
Through JYP Entertainment, Bang Chan shared why he chose to support several different causes.
“It is meaningful to be able to share even a small part of my heart with different areas that need help, from children’s dreams to the environment we all live in,” he said.
He added, “I hope my support reaches places where help is needed and contributes to everyone being able to dream of a better tomorrow together.”
The Stray Kids leader has continued making charitable donations in recent years. In September, he donated a combined 200 million won to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and UNICEF Korea for rehabilitation services and flood recovery efforts in Nepal.
For his birthday in 2025, Bang Chan donated 200 million won to Samsung Medical Center and UNICEF Korea to support pediatric patients and children worldwide. In 2024, he donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea to support people with developmental disabilities, which led to his induction into its Honor Society for major donors.
His latest 300 million won birthday donation stands out for supporting three separate areas at once: young people with hearing loss, children from vulnerable backgrounds, and environmental cleanup efforts.
