Netflix’s "The Scandal", starring Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Nana, is gaining strong international attention after climbing to No. 3 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Shows chart.
During its second week of release, "The Scandal" recorded 2.8 million views and approximately 21.9 million viewing hours, placing third worldwide among Netflix’s non-English series.
The drama also entered Netflix’s Top 10 in 18 countries and regions, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Qatar.
Set during the Joseon era, *The Scandal* follows Lady Cho, played by Son Ye Jin, and Jo Won, played by Ji Chang Wook, whose dangerous romantic wager becomes connected to Hee Yeon, played by Nana. The series combines romance, intrigue, and period drama without revealing too much about its story.
Netflix also released behind-the-scenes photos showing Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Nana discussing scenes with director Jung Ji Woo and monitoring their performances on set.
The photos also highlighted the relaxed atmosphere between the cast members behind the camera, as well as the colorful hanbok and detailed production design featured throughout the series.
With *The Scandal* reaching No. 3 globally and entering the Top 10 in 18 markets during its second week, the series continues to attract viewers internationally on Netflix.
