The Assassin(s) continues its strong box office run in South Korea, holding the No. 1 spot among Korean films in advance ticket reservations during its second week in theaters.
According to data from the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, The Assassin(s) ranked first in Korean movie pre-sales as of 7 a.m. on September 29.
The film had already passed 1 million moviegoers just four days after its release, helped by strong attendance during the Chuseok holiday period.
With the movie maintaining its lead in reservations, it is now heading into South Korea’s National Foundation Day holiday period with continued audience interest.
The Assassin(s) is a historical thriller centered on questions surrounding the 1974 assassination attempt that resulted in the death of South Korea’s then-first lady.
The film is currently showing in theaters across South Korea.
