Son Ye Jin revealed that she and husband Hyun Bin have not yet watched each other’s newly released series because much of their free time is currently spent raising their son.
The couple drew attention after Son Ye Jin’s Netflix series The Scandal and Hyun Bin’s Disney+ series Made in Korea 2 were released around the same period.
During an interview on September 29, Son Ye Jin explained that despite the timing, they have not been able to sit down and watch each other’s projects.
She said, “We haven’t watched each other’s work together. I really enjoyed Made in Korea season 1, but I haven’t seen season 2 yet.”
Son Ye Jin added that she had only seen short clips from Hyun Bin’s new season so far and thought it looked entertaining.
“I think I need to make time and watch it soon,” she said, before confirming that Hyun Bin had also not yet watched The Scandal.
When asked jokingly whether they take turns putting their child to sleep while managing their busy schedules, Son Ye Jin laughed and answered, “Of course.”
She explained that their evenings often end the same way as many other parents.
“We’re really the same as everyone else. Sometimes we fall asleep while putting our child to bed, so we don’t get to watch anything,” she shared.
Son Ye Jin added that both she and Hyun Bin are currently fully involved in parenting and divide household responsibilities.
“We’re just an ordinary married couple. Because our jobs are public, people may imagine things about us, but we’re completely the same as other parents. If our child is sick, we stay up all night taking care of him, and we share the housework.”
While both stars currently have major projects streaming at the same time, Son Ye Jin’s comments showed that their schedules at home have kept them from watching each other’s latest work so far.
