Son Ye Jin revealed that her husband Hyun Bin was actually the first person to show her a viral edited image involving her romantic scene with Ji Chang Wook in Netflix’s The Scandal.
The image, shared by the official Blue Dragon Awards social media account, humorously edited Hyun Bin into a scene as if he were watching Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook during a romantic moment from the series.
Son Ye Jin later left a playful comment on the post, writing, “H-Honey... what are you doing here?”
During an interview on September 29, Son Ye Jin explained that Hyun Bin had already seen the edited image before she did.
She shared, “It was so funny. My husband saw it first and sent it to me. I wondered, ‘What is this?’ and followed the link. There was even a video. It was so funny and entertaining that I left a comment.”
According to Son Ye Jin, Hyun Bin appeared to find the joke amusing as well. She recalled that he simply sent it to her while laughing, saying he reacted with something similar to “ㅋㅋㅋㅋ,” the Korean text commonly used to express laughter online.
Ji Chang Wook also previously addressed the lighthearted attention surrounding his romantic scenes with Son Ye Jin. Joking about reactions involving Hyun Bin, he said, “I wasn’t worried about Hyun Bin at all. My only crime was loving Lady Cho.”
Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook star together in Netflix’s The Scandal, a historical romance based on the French novel Dangerous Liaisons.
While the romantic scenes attracted attention, Son Ye Jin’s story revealed that Hyun Bin had already seen the viral edited image and was the one who sent it to her first.
