Park Jinyoung drew attention after giving his on-screen chemistry with Kim Yoo Jung an unusually high score ahead of their new tvN drama 100 Days of Deception.
During the drama’s press conference on September 29, Park Jinyoung was asked how he felt about acting opposite Kim Yoo Jung in the romance storyline.
He answered with a playful response, saying, “It was 1,000 points out of 100.”
Park Jinyoung added that even director Yoo In Sik appeared excited while watching their scenes on set.
Kim Yoo Jung also spoke positively about working with him. She said the atmosphere during filming was comfortable and enjoyable, which helped them portray the relationship between their characters naturally.
She explained, “Both characters carry their own stories, and we portrayed a romance where they understand each other and grow together.”
Kim Yoo Jung added that some parts would have been difficult to create alone and said working closely with Park Jinyoung helped bring those emotions to life.
Park Jinyoung also revealed that he was immediately interested in joining 100 Days of Deception because he found the script entertaining. For his character, he tried to avoid exaggerating complicated emotions and instead focused on more controlled movements and expressions.
The upcoming drama is a historical spy romance centered on two characters who meet while caught in a dangerous situation during the Japanese colonial era. Kim Yoo Jung plays Lee Ga Kyung, while Park Jinyoung takes on the role of elite interpreter Sato Hideo, also known as Kim Tae Woong.
100 Days of Deception is scheduled to premiere on October 10 at 9:10 PM KST on tvN.
