SEVENTEEN’s DK opened up about the bond that has helped all 13 members stay together as a group and continue renewing their contracts.
During a recent appearance on the YouTube show Zip Daesung, DK took part in a casual lie detector game and was asked whether there were any SEVENTEEN members he sometimes did not want to see.
DK immediately answered, “Of course there are.” However, the lie detector marked his response as false, prompting those around him to joke that he must love all of his members.
DK playfully protested the result, saying, “No. Why does it say I’m lying?”
He then admitted that even though the members are very close, there are naturally moments when they can get on each other’s nerves.
“Honestly, there are times when I don’t want to see them, but we have a good relationship,” he explained.
The conversation then turned to how SEVENTEEN has managed to keep all 13 members together despite being such a large group and continuing their partnership through contract renewals.
DK said one important reason is that the members have come to see one another as family.
“Even though we argue and bicker, we think of each other as family,” he shared.
According to DK, disagreements are inevitable, but viewing one another as family gives the members the strength to continue moving forward together.
SEVENTEEN debuted as a 13-member group in 2015 and has remained together throughout its career, with DK’s comments offering a simple explanation for the teamwork behind their long-running partnership.
