Park Ji Hyun has reached a major milestone in her career after becoming the first Korean actress to receive an acting nomination at the International Emmy Awards.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 54th International Emmy Awards on September 23. Park Ji Hyun was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for her role in the Netflix series You and Everything Else.
Park Ji Hyun is competing against Belgium's Mona Mina Leon for Holy Sh!t, Mexico's Bárbara Mori for Lucca's World, and British actress Sheridan Smith for I Fought the Law.
Her nomination marks the first time a Korean actress has been nominated in an acting category at the International Emmys.
In You and Everything Else, Park Ji Hyun stars alongside Kim Go Eun. The Netflix drama follows longtime friends Eun Jung and Sang Yeon as their complicated relationship changes through different stages of their lives, touching on friendship, admiration, jealousy, and conflict.
Park Ji Hyun's performance as Sang Yeon drew attention for portraying the character across several periods of her life while showing the emotional changes that come with their years-long relationship.
The nomination also adds another international achievement for You and Everything Else, which previously received recognition at major Korean and OTT award ceremonies.
South Korea received another International Emmy nomination this year through Disney+'s Hyper Knife, starring Park Eun Bin and Sul Kyung Gu. The series was nominated in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category.
A total of 64 nominees from 22 countries are competing across 16 categories at the 2026 International Emmy Awards.
The winners will be announced during the 54th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York City on November 23.
