Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung shared an emotional reunion with their Love in the Moonlight co-stars as the cast looked back on 10 years of memories and promised to meet again in the future.
The second episode of KBS2’s anniversary special Moonlight Drawn Again brought Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon together to celebrate a decade since Love in the Moonlight first aired.
During the special, the five cast members revisited memorable moments from the drama and spoke about what the project still means to them years later.
One particularly emotional moment came when Park Bo Gum and Jinyoung performed a duet of Misty Road, an OST track originally written and composed by Jinyoung. Park Bo Gum also participated in rearranging the song for the anniversary performance.
Kim Yoo Jung became emotional while watching the performance and explained, “I could feel their sincerity in preparing this stage for us, so it really touched me.”
The cast later wrote messages expressing their hopes for one another before releasing lanterns into the night sky. Their shared wish read, “May all of us remain friends forever.”
They also prepared a surprise farewell for Kwak Dong Yeon ahead of his military enlistment, giving him handwritten letters, gifts, and an album filled with photos from their years together.
Near the end of the special, the cast returned to costumes inspired by their characters and took a new group poster together, something they had not done with all five actors during the original drama.
When asked what Love in the Moonlight means to him today, Park Bo Gum described it as “the strength that can carry me through life.”
Kim Yoo Jung compared the drama to “Ra On,” the name of her character and a Korean word associated with joy. She explained, “Even after 10 years, being able to have this much joy and laugh together is true happiness.”
The anniversary special ended with the cast looking toward the future and promising to continue their friendship beyond the drama’s 10th year.
