Yoo Yeon Seok and Go Ah Sung have been selected as judges for the Actor of the Year Award at the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
On September 23, the Busan International Film Festival announced that the two actors will serve as this year’s judges and help select promising performers from films featured in the festival’s Vision – Korean Cinema section.
The Actor of the Year Award was created to recognize emerging actors who show strong performances and potential. Each year, one male actor and one female actor are selected as winners.
Both recipients will receive a cash prize of 5 million won.
The judging panel traditionally consists of one established Korean male actor and one established Korean female actor, with Yoo Yeon Seok and Go Ah Sung taking on the roles this year.
The two actors are also expected to attend the awards ceremony and personally present the honors to the winners.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival will take place from October 6 to 15 around the Busan Cinema Center.
