Girls’ Generation’s Sunny is making a rare return to Korean television, appearing at a wedding venue for a surprise mission on KBS2’s *Baesong Wassong*.
In the September 21 episode, Sunny teamed up with Lee Seung Chul and Tak Jae Hoon to form a special music delivery team called “Chul Tak Sunny.”
Their first request came from a bride-to-be who was raised by her grandmother. She hoped to make her wedding feel bright and meaningful despite the absence of her father.
To fulfill the request, Lee Seung Chul, Tak Jae Hoon, and Sunny attended the wedding disguised as regular guests while preparing a surprise congratulatory performance.
Because the event was being kept secret from the groom, the trio had to move carefully around the wedding venue without attracting attention.
Sunny was given a particularly tricky mission: reach the bridal waiting room without being recognized by the other guests.
The appearance drew attention because Sunny has rarely been seen on Korean entertainment programs in recent years.
Sunny ended her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment in 2023 after spending many years with the agency. She later shared updates indicating that she had been spending time in the United States.
Her appearance on *Baesong Wassong* therefore marked a notable return to Korean variety content, with viewers getting to see her take on a lighthearted mission alongside Lee Seung Chul and Tak Jae Hoon.
The program also featured the cast discussing covers of Lee Seung Chul’s songs by younger artists, including IU, Lee Mujin, Park Bo Gum, and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon.
