An overseas EXO fan is drawing attention after turning a promise she made to Kai into a real Asian Games gold medal.
Hong Kong wushu athlete Shen Xiaoyu won gold at the *2026 Aichi Nagoya Asian Games* on September 21 and later shared that she had fulfilled a promise previously made to EXO's Kai.
After her victory, Shen posted on social media and tagged EXO and Kai's official accounts.
She wrote, *“I really won an Asian Games gold medal! I worked hard to keep this promise!”*

The athlete shared a video connecting the two moments. The first part showed her meeting Kai at a fan signing event, where they talked about her goal of winning a gold medal.
In the clip, Kai responded to her goal by asking, *“If I do this for you, can you win the gold medal?”* before agreeing to make the pose she requested.
