IU has marked her 18th debut anniversary with another major donation, bringing her publicly reported charitable contributions this year to 600 million won.
On September 18, EDAM Entertainment announced that the singer and actress donated a total of 200 million won to four organizations.
IU contributed 50 million won each to the Korea Social Welfare Society, Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, Heart to Heart Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity Korea.
The donations will be used for several causes, including helping young adults preparing to live independently, providing rehabilitation treatment for children and teenagers facing financial difficulties, supporting young women transitioning to independent living, and improving housing conditions for national veterans.
IU has regularly made donations on meaningful dates under the name “IUENA,” which combines her stage name IU with the name of her fan club, UAENA.
Her latest contribution brings her reported personal donations in 2026 to 600 million won. Earlier this year, she donated 100 million won for Children’s Day to support children and teenagers. On her birthday, May 16, she donated another 300 million won to organizations helping people in need.
IU also recently returned with her digital single *From This Star*. Its double title tracks, *From This Star* and *Dear My Crazy Soulmate*, have ranked near the top of major Korean music charts following their release.
With another 200 million won donated for her debut anniversary, IU continues her long-running tradition of connecting important personal milestones with charitable giving.
