BLACKPINK’s Rosé has released her new collaboration single "new trick", marking her latest solo music release with a special partnership involving Apple.
According to The Black Label, *new trick* and its accompanying music video were released on September 18.
The music video was created as part of Apple’s *Shot on iPhone* campaign, with the company participating in the production. The video places Rosé in bright, open settings with energetic scenes that match the song’s lively mood.
Director Dave Meyers, who has previously worked with artists including Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and Ariana Grande, directed the music video.
Musically, *new trick* combines garage punk influences with an upbeat and energetic sound. The song centers on moving forward despite emotional pain and difficulties in love, using a personal “new trick” to overcome setbacks.
Rosé also reunited with familiar collaborators for the track. Amy Allen, who worked with her on the global hit *APT.*, and Andrew Wells, who collaborated on *stay a little longer*, took part in producing the new song.
The Apple partnership adds another major global collaboration to Rosé’s solo activities, while *new trick* gives listeners a fresh look at her evolving musical style.
