Stray Kids’ Bang Chan has made another major donation, giving a total of 200 million won to support rehabilitation care in Korea and flood recovery efforts in Nepal.
According to JYP Entertainment on September 19, Bang Chan donated 100 million won each to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
The donation to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital will be used to help build specialized rehabilitation centers designed around patients’ ages and medical needs. His contribution to UNICEF will support recovery efforts following severe flooding in Nepal.
Through his agency, Bang Chan shared, *“I wanted to offer even a small amount of comfort to people going through difficult and exhausting times. I sincerely hope they can return to peaceful daily life as soon as possible.”*
The latest donation brings Bang Chan’s publicly reported personal donations to 500 million won.
He has consistently supported different causes over the years. On his birthday last year, he donated 100 million won to Samsung Medical Center to help cover treatment costs for children and teenagers, as well as another 100 million won to UNICEF for children around the world.
In 2024, he donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea to support people with developmental disabilities. That contribution also led to his membership in the organization’s Honor Society for major donors.
Bang Chan has also joined fellow Stray Kids members in group donations for disaster recovery, including wildfire relief in South Korea and support following a fire in Hong Kong.
His latest contribution continues a pattern of charitable giving focused on medical care, children, and disaster recovery.
