SEVENTEEN’s DK surprised viewers by revealing an unusual birthday tradition that sometimes takes place during the group’s after-party gatherings.
On the September 18 episode of YouTube show *Zip Daesung*, DK appeared with DAY6 members Young K and Wonpil, who became curious about SEVENTEEN’s well-known after-party culture.
Young K brought up a story he had heard about the members drinking alcohol from a large bowl normally used for cold noodles.
He asked, *“I heard there’s a tradition where you put alcohol in a cold noodle bowl and drink it.”*
DK explained that the tradition is connected to birthdays rather than being a regular part of every gathering.
*“It’s a birthday drink tradition. If there happens to be someone whose birthday it is during the after-party, we say, ‘Okay, you got caught,’ and fill a large bowl with drinks. Then they drink it in one shot,”* he said.
Wonpil immediately asked whether anyone was pressured to participate, prompting DK to make an important clarification.
*“There’s no forcing anyone,”* DK emphasized.
When Wonpil jokingly wondered whether DK had ever tried to escape the tradition, DK responded with another playful confession.
*“I always run away. If I get too drunk, I run away,”* he joked.
The conversation began after Young K and Wonpil said one of their wishes was to be invited to a SEVENTEEN concert. DK explained that because several members are currently completing mandatory military service or focusing on unit and solo activities, a full-group concert may not happen until after 2028.
Young K then jokingly suggested keeping their friendship going until then so they could attend both the concert and its after-party.
