SBS drama Flex X Cop 2 has reached a new personal best in ratings just before its finale, but its numbers remain well below those of predecessor Agent Kim Reactivated starring So Ji Sub.
According to Nielsen Korea, the September 18 episode of Flex X Cop 2 recorded a nationwide household rating of 9.4%, marking the drama’s highest rating since its premiere.
The episode also scored 9.7% in the Seoul metropolitan area and reached a peak rating of 11.3%. Among viewers aged 20 to 49, the drama climbed to a peak of 3.4%.
With the latest results, Flex X Cop 2 ranked No. 1 among Friday programs and also led its time slot.
The rise came as the drama approached its final episode, with the story placing Ahn Bo Hyun’s character Jin Yi Soo in another major crisis. However, further plot details are being kept minimal to avoid spoilers.
Despite reaching a new high, Flex X Cop 2 still faces a noticeable ratings gap compared with the SBS drama that aired before it.
So Ji Sub’s Agent Kim Reactivated previously reached a nationwide peak rating of 23.1%. Its premiere alone recorded 9.5%, slightly higher than the 9.4% personal best currently achieved by Flex X Cop 2.
With only the finale remaining, attention is now focused on whether Flex X Cop 2 can finally cross the 10% nationwide ratings mark and finish its run with another new record.
